Day 54 - February 23rd

I am grateful for a new day.  Yesterday was not the best, but today is a new day.  I can start over and try  again at everything I am working on.  I am grateful for always having one more day!  President Monson said sometimes courage is going to bed and saying you will try again tomorrow.  (or something like that)

Day 53 - February 22nd

This was a hard day! I hate those days when being a parent means dishing out consequences for really poor choices.  But I am grateful we have the ability to choose and that we are accountable.  How horrible would our world be if we were not accountable for our actions!

Day 52 - February 21st

I am grateful for my Alli.  She came into my life 7 years ago and what a great time we have had.  I love her personality.  She makes me crazy sometimes, but she has such a good heart.  I love her dearly and thank the Lord He gave her to me!

Day 50

Good sports, although I am not always one. I threw my friends a curve ball and she went along with it fabulously!

Day 49

I love date nights! I thought it would be easier when the kids were older and we had built in babysitters. That part is easier, it is just finding the times to go out now! I love my one on one time with Corry! It is fun to be together, talking and laughing. I really do love date nights!

Day 48

I am grateful for good books - although they do tend to keep me away from what I am supposed to be doing!

Day 44

Days off of shcool with my kids, whether they be days off by the school district, or days off my mom's choosing! I love to spen days with my kids, laughing, having fun and building memories!

Day 43

Today I am grateful for the Internet! A million different ideas at your finger tip. I am a great copier or changer to make things work for me, but not very good at coming up with my own ideas.

Day 42

Good friends for my kids! I have been blessed my whole life with good, true friends. I am grateful for them in my life. They bring joy to my life. But, I have wanted good friends for my children too. Some of them have had good friends their whole lives, others haven't, but right now, they all have good friends, doing good things. Love them all!

Day 39

I am so grateful for Corry. He just got home last night. I love it when he is home! I love to talk to him, lay by him, hold him, laugh with him, cook with him, play games with him, discuss our children with him, and hear about his day, life, problems, joys, and whatever else he wants to share. I miss him when he is gone and I hope I appreciate him when he is home.

I am grateful for curbside garbage and recycling pick up.  Now I don't ever remember a time we didn't have curbside garbage, bit I do remember taking my own recycling in and I am so glad it is collected on my curb!

Day 37

The gift of repentance! What a beautiful thing that our Heavenly Father sent us here with that gift. I watchd it work in my life and the life of one of my children yesterday. How wonderful it is to be able to repent and be forgiven!

Day 36

Today I am grateful for children.  They amaze me, they frustrate me, but mostly they are just incredible little people (some not so little anymore)!  I love their questions - they really want to know, learn and understand things that I had no cares about at their ages.  They want to do right.  I love who they are, who they are trying to be (even though the process is sometimes very challenging), and who they chose to spend their time with.  I am so grateful for my children!

Day 35

I am grateful to NOT be a teenager anymore!  The emotions, the up and downs, the uncertainty or what life was going to bring me.  OK, not so much different than now, but I think I have learned to deal with life much better!  I am glad I have experience and Corry by my side now.  I am most grateful to have the Lord by my side to deal with my children facing those same challenges.  Although I am still not sure I always do what I am supposed to with them.  It is harder now to be a parent of a teen than it was to be the parent of small children.  The path was more clear for me.  Although different hard.  I have time to myself that I never had then and I think that helps soooo much with being mentally and emotionally prepared to help them.  I also have more time for the temple now which helps immensely too.  SO yes, I am so grateful to not be a teenager anymore.

Day 34

I am grateful for modern medicine.  We have braces for ankles, wrists, knees and such.  We have Migraine medicine for headaches.  We have scans to catch things early and medicines to heal.  We have Therapists to help us strengthen when we are hurt.  We have surgeons, glasses, contacts, oxygen, antibiotics, prosthetics, and the list can go on.  how grateful I am to be born when all this is available!

Day 33

I am so grateful for DVRs!!!  For many reasons, but today it was for BYU basketball.  BYU was playing Gonzaga, Fuzzy needed math help, Scotty was working on his pinewood derby car, and we had to get Missy from dance.  I recorded the game and we watched it when we were ready.  It was a great game and we finished about 6 minutes after the real time.  Fast forwarding through all the commercials.  That is a great way to watch a game!  So yes, I am grateful for DVR's.  (Corry says they have saved our marriage because he can pause a game to talk to me or help me with something!)

Day 32

Today I am grateful for food. I spent 3 hours it the kitchen making meatballs, biscuits, and cleaning up after myself. Totally worth it! I love meatballs! Mmmmmmm!

Day 31

Not sure, that is why it is the next night. But I guess yesterday I was grateful I could walk. I am able to move around and do the things I want to do.
